Toddler Swimming Classes in Singapore

TODDLER SWIM PROGRAMME (3.5 to 5 Years Old)

Our Toddler Swim Programme introduces young children to water confidence and basic swimming fundamentals through play-based learning. Designed for ages 3.5 to 5, our toddler swimming lessons focus on water safety, floating, kicking, and breathing in a fun, supportive environment where parents can be actively involved.

WHY START SWIMMING EARLY?

  • Build water confidence and water safety awareness from age 3.5
  • Develop foundational motor skills and body coordination in water
  • Reduce drowning risk through early water competency training
  • Create positive, lifelong associations with swimming and water activities
  • Small group sizes with one-on-one attention from qualified instructors

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN

In our kids swimming lessons, toddlers develop:

  • Water comfort and confidence in a safe, controlled environment
  • Floating techniques and breath control
  • Basic kicking and arm movements
  • Water safety awareness and listening skills
  • Coordination and body awareness
  • Independence in shallow water with instructor support
OUR APPROACH TO TODDLER SWIMMING CLASSES

Learning to swim at this age is about building positive water experiences, not racing through strokes. Our coaches use play-based activities, songs, and games to keep young swimmers engaged while developing essential skills. Parents can assist in the water during early sessions, helping their child feel secure while building independence gradually.

Key features:

  • Small group sizes (4-6 toddlers per class) for maximum attention
  • Shallow, warm water pools designed for young swimmers
  • Gradual progression from water comfort to basic floating and kicking
  • Parent involvement encouraged (varies by class level)
  • Qualified instructors trained in early childhood water safety

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Our toddler swimming classes progress through two phases:

Introduction to water, comfort building, water safety awareness, and basic breath control through play and guided activities.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does each class last?

Toddler swimming classes are 30-45 minutes. This length is optimal for young attention spans while building meaningful water confidence and skills.

Can I stay in the water with my child?

Yes, parent involvement is encouraged in early sessions to help your child feel secure. As confidence builds, we gradually encourage independence. Your instructor will guide when your child is ready.

What if my toddler cries or is nervous?

Water anxiety is completely normal at this age. Our coaches are experienced in building confidence gradually. We recommend consistent attendance so your child becomes familiar with the environment and instructors.

What do I need to bring?

Swimsuit, swim diaper (if needed), towel, and a change of clothes. We provide instruction and a safe, warm pool facility.
